Privacy Policy

Thank you for using getbpmkey.com. We care about your privacy and limit the data we collect. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Audio analysis data: Audio is processed locally in your browser via WebAssembly. We do not upload your audio to our servers for analysis. If you use batch processing in the web app, files remain local to your session unless you explicitly export results.
- Account data (only if you sign up): Email, password hash (handled by our auth provider), subscription tier, and basic profile metadata.
- Payment data: Billing is handled by our payment processor; we do not store your full payment details.
- Usage data: Basic analytics and error logs (page views, feature usage, coarse device/browser info). IP addresses may appear transiently in server logs for security.
2. How we use data
- Provide audio BPM/key detection and related features.
- Manage authentication, subscriptions, and billing.
- Improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Communicate about product updates, security, or billing (opt out where available).
3. How we share data
- Service providers: Auth, payments, analytics, error monitoring—only as needed to run the service.
- Legal and safety: If required by law or to protect our users and platform.
- We do not sell personal data.
4. Cookies and local storage
- Used for session management, language preferences, and remembering UI settings.
- Analytics cookies may be used to understand feature usage; you can block cookies in your browser, but some features may not work.
5. Data retention
- Account data is retained while your account is active.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data; some records may be kept to comply with legal or billing obligations.
6. Security
- We use HTTPS, access controls, and industry-standard safeguards. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data where applicable.
- Opt out of non-essential communications.
- Contact us to exercise your rights.
8. Children
The service is not intended for users under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
